This is not another online course that you’ll partially consume and then forget about.
YOUR PARTICIPATION IS REQUIRED.
BAPP is a five-month online learning experience. We meet for a live 90-minute Zoom class three times per month with one week off for integration. There’s approximately 23.5 hours of live instruction in the program, plus time spent outside of class practicing consultations with your classmates (and myself).
In order to receive your certificate of completion and my blessing as a Body Astrology Practitioner, you must:
Attend all the live classes (Yes, there’s a make-up option if you need to miss one.)
Complete three practice consultations with my observation
Do a final project
Why? Because I want you to feel solid in your skills. Doing this work is the difference between someone who’s playing with astrology fire (and will probably get burned) and someone who knows exactly what they’re doing. Period.

Throughout the course (near weeks 7, 11, 15) you’ll complete three, thirty-minute practice consultations with your classmates. Each consultation will be with a different classmate so that you can see a variety of charts. I’ll be observing so that I can give encouragement and gentle feedback.

When I was in astrology school, I had to do cold readings (readings where you don’t see the chart beforehand). Don’t worry, I’m not going to do that to you! You’ll receive your practice charts a couple of weeks before your consultations so that you have ample time to prepare.
Use your final project to get your own practice organized.
At the beginning of the course, I’ll introduce you to your final project so that you can begin working on it right away. I call it the Correspondence Kit.
Essentially, as you learn the elements, planets, signs, and houses, you’ll begin attaching similar practices, tools, or methods that you already use in your modality to each. For example, if you’re a personal trainer, maybe you discover through your research and own felt experience that heavy squats feel like earth or Saturn.
Here’s the thing: There’s probably no book (yet) on how exactly to combine astrology with your specific modality. You’ve got to become a symbolic thinker and innovate. That’s exactly what I did, and that’s what this project will empower you to do.

Claire Gallagher
I’ve been a professional astrologer since 2015. I completed my initial studies at the Portland School of Astrology and then went on to complete several mentorships with more senior astrologers.
My wellness background is in acupuncture, nutrition, and personal training. Through experimentation and trial and error, I began applying astrology to my own client practice, creating robust systems of astrological self-care.
I literally wrote the book on Body Astrology. (It’s called Body Astrology—lol.) And I’m passionate about empowering others to apply this framework to their own expertise.

After completing all of the BAPP requirements, you may call yourself a Body Astrology Practitioner. But keep in mind, BAPP is a theory and framework, not a modality. BAPP is a professional development program only. Although BAPP is designed to be incorporated into your modality of choice, BAPP does not license or certify you to perform any type of healing modality. It is your responsibility to remain within your legal scope of practice.

Participation is required to receive your BAPP certificate of completion. It’s one thing to consume information, it’s another thing entirely to apply it. Participating in BAPP means attending all lectures (there will be a make-up option for lectures you can’t attend), completing three practice consultations with my observation, and a final project.

You will need a copy of both of my books: Body Astrology and Cosmic Year. You’ll also need access to astrology software. There’s no need to invest in professional software right now. There are plenty of great free options like astro-seek.com.

The July 2026 cohort is scheduled to begin on July 9th, 2026. We’ll meet on Thursdays from 1:30pm to 3:00pm US eastern time. We’ll meet three weeks in a row and then take a week off for rest and integration.
Life happens, and I completely understand that you may not be able to make all the classes live. If that’s the case, you will need to watch the replay and answer a few reflection questions so that I know you’ve received and assimilated the information.

Astro-herbalism is a whole universe unto itself. I suggest enrolling in a devoted astro-herbalism course instead.

I’m a traditional astrologer with roots in the Hellenistic tradition. I teach with whole-sign houses and traditional planetary rulerships.
